8: Days 8 through 68 - a list of activities.  


Day 8: -- Go for a stroll through Merritt Island

Day 9:  -- Visit the Welland Community Wellness Centre to learn about all of their services

Day 10: Visit the Rose City Bonspiel for a little Curling Action 3pm Welland Curling Club February 11th

Day 11: February 12th - Take the kids to the park day.

Day 12: February 13th Walk with the Mayor at Merritt Island 7:30 am

Day 13: February 14th - Take a stroll along the canal with your favourite Valentine.

Day 14: February 15th - National Flag Day - Join us at Civic Square, Market Square, WCWC, and Battle of Cooks Mills for the raising of the Canada 150 flag.

Day 15: February 16th - Visit the Welland Museum to learn the history of this city and it's people. What better year to familiarize yourself with all the museum has to offer.

Day 16: February 17th -- today enjoy free skating for children and teens

Day 17: February 18th -- In recognition of Pluto Day, take a drive to the city limits with your children and do a little star gazing

Day 18: February 19th -- It's International Tug of War Day -- grab some friends, your backyard or maybe Chippewa Park and see which team wins the game!

Day 19: February 20th Family Day - get out and enjoy the day with the family, activities throughout Welland

Day 20: February 21st Cheer on  your favourite Boy Scout at the Kub Kar Races at Seaway Mall

Day 21: February 22nd - Grab a leash, a dog and head to the Welland dog park, or one of our great trails for National Walk Your Dog Day -- if you don't have a dog, consider volunteering at the Welland and District Humane Society.

Day 22: February 23rd -- Why not give Young's Sportsplex a call and see what they have for Tennis lessons, or just grab a racket, a ball and a friend and head to a court for a friendly game.

Day 23: February 24th  - Support your local farmers today, visit the Market in downtown Welland.

Day 24: February 25th - Visit the Welland Farmer's Market in downtown today! Your shopping made easy.

Day 25: February 26th -- It's Tell a Fairy Tale Day - wouldn't you love to spend an hour at the Welland Library reading fairy tales to your children or grandchildren. Go for it!

Day 26: February 27th Walk with the Mayor at Merritt Island 7:30 am

Day 27: February 28th -- We know you're itching for spring. Look into classes in floral design at WCWC or Niagara College - a great activity you can enjoy for years to come..

Day 28: March 1st --   Take a walk down East Main - discover the new businesses and all they have to offer.

Day 29: March 2nd -- again we're sending you off to the Welland Library (did you know there are now 3 branches in Welland) to do a little reading for World Book Day!

Day 30: March 3rd - today get away from your devices and unplug - go for a scenic walk along the Merritt Trail

Day 31: March 4th -- Support your local farmers today, visit the Market in downtown Welland.

Day 32: March 5th -- Take the dog for a run at the Welland dog park today

Day 33: March 6th Walk with the Mayor at Merritt Island 7:30 am

Day 34: March 7th -- Visit Chippewa Park -

Day 35: March 8th -- In recognition of International Women's Day - take the time to appreciate the women in your life and all they do for you and others…

Day 36: March 9th -- Grab your skates and head to Rink150 at Civic Square - if it's cold enough that is.

Day 37: March 10th --  Support your local farmers today, visit the Market in downtown Welland.

Day 38: March 11th -- Today, visit the Welland Museum - see if you can find information about your family in Welland for Genealogy Day.

Day 39: March 12th - Visit your favourite garden shop today and plant a flower!

Day 40: March 13th Walk with the Mayor at Merritt Island 7:30 am

Day 41: March 14th -- Do you have a burning question about Welland - Today is Ask a Question Day. Call your City Councillor, the City of Welland for that answer you're looking for - or maybe just visit the library. 

Day 42: March 15th - youth skating this week daily 1 - 2:30 at the Welland Arena

Day 43: March 16th - shovel snow and shovel more.

Day 44: March 17th - we're sure you won't need any ideas for St. Patrick's Day today - so much to do!

Day 45: March 18th -- today is Quilting Day -- do you know there are a number of businesses and organizations in Welland that provide sewing classes - maybe today is the day you look in to a new hobby…

Day 46: March 19th -- Consider volunteering at the hospital or one of our senior's centres -- today is 'read to me' day. We're sure you would enjoy reading to someone as much as they will enjoy hearing the stories.

Day 47: March 20th Walk with the Mayor at Merritt Island 7:30 am

Day 48: March 21st -- sit down with pen and paper and write a poem today. If you need inspiration take a walk along the Welland Canal .

Day 49: March 22nd - get outside, start preparing the yard for warm weather enjoyment

Day 50: March 23rd - the days are getting longer, head over to your local park with the kids -- enjoy play time!

Day 51: March 24th - Visit the Welland Community Wellness Complex to get your Canada 150 in Welland T-shirt! On sale now!

Day 52: March 25th - shut it down tonight from 8:30 - 9:30 for Earth Hour

Day 53: March 26th -- Why not check out Plymouth Park today?

Day 54: March 27th -- Walk with the Mayor at Merritt Island 7:30 am

Day 55: March 28th -- Find your favourite restaurant (you know we have quite a few) and go for lunch or dinner.

Day 56: March 29th -- Pick a park, any park - go for a walk!

Day 57: March 30th  -- It's take a walk in a park day -- you know Welland has quite a few to choose from. What are you waiting for. 

Day 58: March 31st  - Today we celebrate crayons - young and old alike benefit from the relaxation enjoyed from the simple act of colouring.  Plan for it today!!

Day 60: April 1st - Now here is a fun one, the whole family can enjoy! PILLOW FIGHT!

Day 61: April 2nd -- Get your children reading early. In celebration of Children's Book Day, visit the Welland Library or your favourite Welland bookstore and stock up.

Day 62: April 3rd Walk with the Mayor at Merritt Island 7:30 am

Day 63: April 4th -- Take a new look at things today by walking around them. Visit Welland's parks or monuments and walk around - you will be surprised at what you see when paying attention.

Day 64: April 5th - A great day to visit Woodlawn park for a leisurely stroll and enjoy nature.

Day 65: April 6th - Visit the Battle of Cook Mills site, learn a little history of the area.

Day 66: April 7th -- Walk to Work day -- it's that simple!

Day 67: April 8th -- With spring here, get outdoors and sketch a bird today maybe while visiting the Farmer's Market.

Day 68: April 9th -- Today, visit the Welland Museum for Cherish an Antique Day -- so many unique things to see at the museum - you're sure to learn a few new things today.
