Heather GlabbHeather Glabb

Singer/Songwriter - To be touched by Heather's life is truly a memorable experience. Her immense knowledge of music and her power house vocal, set this artist apart.  Heather was raised in a small community of 20,000, in Port Colborne, Ontario.  She was one of 10 children, who all played a musical instrument and sang. Heather started lessons on the C melody saxophone at the age of 10 and began experimenting with the acoustic guitar around   that time.

Heather's roots are planted deep in Gospel and Country influences.  From a young age, she spent most of her time in the church junior choir, mastering techniques of vocal harmony.  Music became a welcomed solace amidst the constant bustle of family life.  Heather's mother encouraged her to sing solos in the junior choir, talent shows and school competitions.  Heather sang every chance she could.  In those years, she developed a deep soulful style that resonated from singing in a gospel church.  Heather's mother knew that something very special was given to her daughter. There was never a doubt in anyone's mind this young songstress had the charisma, talent, and presence to follow her dreams.

Heather had the experience of a life time when she entered The Canadian Budweiser Country Music Competition in 1991. Heather sang her way to a 2nd PLACE FINISH IN ALL OF CANADA!  This achievement provided opportunities to perform with Michelle Wright and Carroll Baker.  The reviews were inspiring. Michelle said "I'd like to wish Heather luck but I don't think she will need any".  Carroll Baker said "Heather has a rich voice. She sings right from the heart and touched me right in the soul".

Heather Glabb performs every weekend throughout the Niagara Region.  You can follow her on her website www.heatherglabb.com.
